Base Salary
$157k - $169k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance data pipelines and data platforms.
- Design end-to-end data solutions covering data ingestion, transformation, modeling, and serving layers.
- Lead complex ETL/ELT workflow implementation and optimize performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Implement Delta Lake schema enforcement, schema evolution, and data versioning capabilities.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, and upstream system owners to define data contracts and SLAs and ensure reliable data delivery.
- Debug data issues involving distributed processing, growing data volumes, latency, and upstream system changes.
- Enforce data governance, security, access controls, compliance standards, and cataloging within Databricks.
- Participate in design and code reviews and improve pipeline orchestration, deployment, and observability.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Five years of experience in the job offered or a related field.
- At least two years of demonstrated experience using SQL to debug and fix application-related issues.
- At least two years of demonstrated experience using Java and Python to build and enhance applications.
- At least two years of demonstrated experience using MySQL to investigate and fix application data issues.
- At least two years of demonstrated experience with Databricks for scalable data pipelines supporting data processing and analytics.
- At least two years of demonstrated experience with Amazon S3 for application data storage, retrieval, and integration with data processing workflows.
- At least two years of demonstrated experience with GitLab for version control and development and deployment collaboration.
- At least two years of demonstrated experience using API calls to integrate external services and troubleshoot application functionality and data flow.
- At least two years of demonstrated experience with Katalon for automated application testing and cross-environment validation.
