Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-quality product features and systems across frontend and backend applications.
- Own projects from technical design and implementation through rollout, monitoring, and long-term maintenance.
- Translate ambiguous business problems into technical plans and milestones with Product, Design, and Engineering partners.
- Build reliable user-facing experiences, APIs, services, and integrations across client, service, and data boundaries.
- Design for observability and reliability through metrics, dashboards, alerting, and health checks.
- Improve product and system performance, scalability, and resilience while identifying technical risks and sources of toil.
- Contribute to design reviews, technical discussions, and architecture decisions.
- Mentor less-experienced engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and example-setting.
- Improve engineering standards, culture, knowledge sharing, and collaborative execution.
- Use AI tools for development, debugging, documentation, and workflow acceleration while applying sound engineering judgment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience building and operating production systems at scale.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building product features across frontend and backend systems.
- Experience building reliable APIs, services, and user-facing applications in a modern production environment.
- Strong software design, database, data modeling, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience owning ambiguous projects and making technical decisions with incomplete information.
- Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder alignment, clear communication, and mentoring experience.
- Strong ownership, urgency, accountability, and comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools.
- B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field from a top university.
- Nice-to-have experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, React, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, Docker, infrastructure-as-code tooling, Kafka, Redis, Elasticsearch, AWS, integrations, internal platforms, data pipelines, SaaS, vertical software, operational workflows, Claude Code, or similar AI coding agents.
