Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Python/FastAPI backend services and TypeScript/React frontends for the customer service platform.
- Take greenfield products from concept through production, making architectural decisions and iterating under uncertainty.
- Develop and extend Twilio Functions using JavaScript for voice, IVR, and webchat flows.
- Manage AWS infrastructure as code with Terraform and deploy owned services to production.
- Integrate Twilio, Cognigy, AWS Bedrock, LiteLLM, Kafka, and other third-party or AI platforms.
- Instrument and monitor services with Datadog, event forwarding, and alerting, and respond to production issues.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience building production software.
- Strong Python experience with FastAPI or a similar framework, plus comfort with TypeScript/JavaScript and preferably React.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, Docker, Git workflows, and CI/CD.
- Ability to work effectively with vague or shifting requirements, make decisions with incomplete information, and communicate clearly.
- Preferred experience includes building 0-to-1 products, conversational AI or IVR systems, LLM/GenAI integrations, Kafka, Datadog, and customer-service or contact-center domains.
