Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and support cloud-based software platforms and backend services for NOV Service Equipment products.
- Design, implement, and maintain AWS infrastructure, deployment pipelines, containerized applications, and production software environments.
- Integrate industrial equipment with cloud services, databases, APIs, and enterprise applications.
- Troubleshoot complex software, infrastructure, networking, and system integration issues across development and production environments.
- Establish software engineering best practices involving code reviews, testing, documentation, and deployment processes.
- Develop reusable software frameworks and shared platform capabilities for multiple product lines.
- Support software validation, release management, and remote production deployments.
- Own assigned software platforms and improve their reliability, scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Mentor software engineers through technical guidance, design reviews, and collaborative problem solving.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or applicable experience.
- At least 10 years of professional software engineering experience developing and supporting production software systems.
- Demonstrated experience designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based applications with Amazon Web Services.
- Strong experience with backend software, REST APIs, databases, containerized applications, and modern software development practices.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a remote engineering environment.
- United States travel visa preferred.
