Base Salary
$169k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation of wireless communication stacks including LTE, 5G, and Wi-Fi.
- Architect low-latency, high-reliability PTT and real-time voice transport systems.
- Develop transport abstraction layers across multiple radios and networks.
- Optimize performance metrics such as latency, jitter, and packet loss.
- Collaborate with RF, hardware, and firmware teams for end-to-end system performance.
- Drive modem integration and carrier certification efforts.
- Implement QoS, prioritization, and congestion control mechanisms.
- Contribute to secure communication layers including encryption and key management.
- Define metrics and instrumentation for wireless performance at scale.
- Mentor engineers and set technical direction across projects.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in wireless software development.
- Strong C/C++ experience in embedded or systems environments.
- Deep understanding of wireless protocols such as LTE, 5G NR, and Wi-Fi.
- Experience working with modem vendors like Qualcomm SDKs.
- Experience with real-time systems and low-latency audio transport.
- Strong networking fundamentals including TCP/IP and QoS.
- Familiarity with RF performance constraints like RSSI and SINR.
- Experience debugging packet-level and radio-layer issues.
