Base Salary
$124k - $196k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build CI/CD pipelines, internal tools, and self-service capabilities that reduce repetitive developer setup and operational work.
- Build pipeline foundations for automated testing, including ephemeral environments, test data, parallelized execution, and quality gates.
- Design and operate a shared Kubernetes platform across cloud and on-premises factory sites with standardized deployment patterns.
- Evaluate and integrate AI into development, testing, and operational workflows, including infrastructure and safety guardrails.
- Own infrastructure as code, observability, incident response, and post-incident reviews for production-line systems.
- Embed security and compliance controls into the platform and software delivery pipelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in platform, DevOps, or SRE roles owning production systems used by multiple teams.
- Strong hands-on experience operating Kubernetes in production running clusters.
- Strong CI/CD, GitOps, and infrastructure-as-code experience, ideally with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and Terraform.
- Proven software engineering experience building and maintaining production services, tools, and components in Python.
- Experience with a major cloud provider, preferably Azure, and comfort with on-premises infrastructure.
- Security-minded platform design approach and strong communication skills across functions and time zones.
- Preferred experience includes scaling internal developer platforms, using AI coding tools and agent workflows, Datadog, Proxmox or comparable virtualization, externally exposed services, Kafka or other event-streaming platforms, and regulated or manufacturing environments.
