Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain distributed cloud infrastructure and platform services.
- Scale, automate, and improve the reliability and observability of infrastructure services.
- Operate services, debug issues, diagnose resource constraints, and support internal customers.
- Participate in roadmap planning and prioritization.
- Build control-plane services and automation for compute, cache, database, and networking infrastructure.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in a software development role.
- Experience building, deploying, and managing infrastructure on a major cloud provider.
- Strong engineering background in platform services and/or distributed systems at scale, including understanding of operating system primitives.
- Experience developing, maintaining, and debugging distributed systems and diagnosing low-level resource constraints.
- Experience with operational excellence and observability practices including distributed tracing, structured logging, and system-level metrics.
- Preferred: experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or Oracle Cloud.
- Preferred: experience with Go or systems languages such as Rust, C, or C++.
- Preferred: experience with Linux OS internals, performance optimization, kernel-level troubleshooting, Kubernetes clusters, low-level container mechanics, networking, traffic systems, and critical production incidents.
