Base Salary
$225k - $345k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build Starlink security infrastructure, including cryptographic and other security-critical services.
- Develop security features for Starlink routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites.
- Design security into factory processes and provide supporting network services.
- Maintain production systems and improve their security posture through direct implementation and recommendations to other teams.
- Build prototypes and identify, design, and test security improvements.
- Collaborate effectively with other engineering teams to deliver secure and reliable Internet services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or another STEM discipline and 8+ years of professional security software development experience, or 10+ years of professional security software development experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with at least one software development language, such as Python, C++, or Golang.
- Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or large-scale infrastructure.
- Preferred experience contributing security improvements to complex systems.
- Preferred experience with Trusted Platform Modules and Hardware Security Modules.
- Fundamental understanding of network protocols, including the TCP/IP stack and UDP-based protocols.
- Advanced degree in a technical or engineering discipline is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, communicate clearly, navigate complex systems, learn new technologies, and work effectively amid ambiguity.
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Must satisfy applicable ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements.

- Base salary range is $225,000.00-$345,000.00, with potential company stock or long-term cash awards, discretionary bonuses, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan access.
