Sr. Automation Integration Engineer - HR Technology

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and implement intelligent plugins, integrations, and automations for enterprise HR workflows.
- Execute the HR Automation and AI product roadmap across HR, IT, business COEs, and People Services.
- Gather and validate requirements and lead automation and integration implementations with stakeholders.
- Conduct technical analysis and workshops with IT and solution architects to design AI-agent integrations.
- Perform testing, documentation, deployment, and enhancement of new plugins and integrations.
- Ensure security, data integrity, and compliance across integration activities.
- Prepare solution design documents and analyze platform capabilities to propose scalable technical solutions.
- Support end-to-end implementation activities in partnership with business analysts and project management teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field.
- At least 6 years of work experience on HR platforms with a heavy focus on integrations, including HCM or HRSD integrations.
- At least 3 years of backend development experience in one or more programming languages.
- Strong hands-on experience with APIs and integration technologies.
- Ability to collaborate across IT, project management, HR COEs, People Services, business users, and other stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical solution-design skills.
- Ability and willingness to perform business analysis and help drive projects through the implementation lifecycle.
- General understanding of AI technologies and terminology.
- Preferred: Workday HCM configuration or integration certification, ServiceNow certification, automation technology certification, and hands-on cloud platform experience.
