Base Salary
$150k - $350k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with the CTO to turn AI research and experiments into production-grade features.
- Investigate and prototype new AI capabilities and assess their feasibility for shipment.
- Build observability and evaluation infrastructure to monitor production models and measure performance.
- Own AI features end-to-end from design through deployment and monitoring.
- Collaborate with other teams to bring AI features into production.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of engineering experience, including recent work on cutting-edge ML and AI systems.
- Experience owning production AI features end-to-end, from experimentation through live infrastructure maintenance.
- Proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch, HuggingFace, or DSPy.
- Willingness to work five days per week from Sola’s NYC office.
- Early-stage startup experience is a plus.
- An ML research background in areas such as CUA, agentic reasoning, visual grounding, VLMs, or fine-tuning is a plus.
- Expertise in some or all of the listed technology stack is a plus.
- Ambition, creativity, and strong communication skills are a plus.
