Base Salary

$129k - $171k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Siemens NX Open API customizations using C/C++, Python, Java, or .NET.
  • Build NX CAD administrative tools including templates, drafting standards, part families, reuse libraries, and role-based configurations.
  • Create custom NX dialogs, menus, and toolbars for mechanical and electrical design workflows.
  • Develop journaling scripts and NX Open applications for modeling, drafting, and BOM generation automation.
  • Collaborate with PLM engineers on NX–Teamcenter managed-mode integration, classification, naming rules, and revision workflows.
  • Own the lifecycle of internal developer tools and collaborate with solution engineers and cross-functional teams.
  • Troubleshoot NX deployment, site configuration, toolkit distribution, technical issues, and end-user support needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a CAD development role, ideally in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • Proficiency in NX Open API development using one or more of C/C++, Python, Java, or .NET, including C# or VB.NET.
  • Hands-on NX CAD administration experience with templates, drafting standards, part families, reuse libraries, and role-based configurations.
  • Experience creating and maintaining NX journaling scripts and custom automation toolkits.
  • Strong understanding of CAD data management, naming conventions, revision control, and BOM structures.
  • Ability to translate end-user needs into features while balancing user experience and engineering constraints.
  • Preferred: Siemens Teamcenter integration with NX managed mode, including classification, workflows, and naming rules.
  • Preferred: NX Check-Mate, NX deployment and site-level configuration, GRIP or KF programming, and CAD integrations with PLM, ERP, or MES systems.
  • Preferred: strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, autonomy, and ability to navigate ambiguity.
