Responsibilities
- Lead architectural and technical design decisions for features, services, and platforms.
- Decompose epics into implementation plans, review designs and code, and manage technical risks and dependencies.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack web, mobile, cross-platform, and backend applications.
- Build scalable APIs and event-driven, serverless-first architectures on AWS.
- Implement infrastructure as code, deployment strategies, CI/CD pipelines, observability, automated testing, and monitoring.
- Optimize cloud costs, security posture, performance, and serverless design patterns.
- Prototype product concepts with Claude, Amazon Bedrock, and other LLM/GenAI platforms.
- Evaluate AI-generated output and establish team standards for AI tool adoption.
- Lead technical direction for a small engineering team, mentor engineers, and drive accountability.
- Partner with Product Managers, Architects, and QA, and participate in rotational on-call duties when required.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Full-stack experience across React/TypeScript, Flutter/Dart, and Python or Node.js.
- At least 2 years of hands-on AWS serverless experience with Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, and EventBridge.
- Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and serverless deployment patterns.
- Professional experience rapidly prototyping with AI or GenAI tools.
- Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring small engineering teams.
- Understanding of prompt engineering, context management, and AI tool limitations.
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of related experience, or a master’s degree and 2 years, a Ph.D. and up to 1 year, or 16 years of related experience.
- Preferred experience with Amazon Bedrock, Claude API, other LLM integrations, AWS CDK or SAM, agentic AI workflows, and multi-agent systems.
- AWS certification such as Solutions Architect, Developer, or equivalent is preferred.
