Base Salary
$140k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of Java/J2EE applications for S&P Dow Jones Indices systems and websites.
- Provide technical guidance and support across development, testing, and deployment activities.
- Develop web applications with rich front-end interfaces and integrate with internal and vendor platforms.
- Perform system performance tuning and troubleshoot application issues.
- Interface with databases using advanced SQL and PL/SQL.
- Lead or participate in code reviews, version control, and enforcement of development best practices.
- Collaborate with business users, product owners, and IT stakeholders.
- Mentor development team members and support delivery across software projects.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Java development with strong J2EE, JMS, and EJB skills.
- Proven experience leading software development teams or technical projects.
- Proficiency in advanced SQL and PL/SQL.
- Experience with Unix scripting, vulnerability remediation, and application performance tuning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred experience in at least three of the following areas: advanced Python or Scala; Jenkins, Ansible, Fortify, or DevOps pipelines; microservices and Spark or Hadoop/HDFS; AWS services; or Cucumber, Selenium, or Karate QA automation.
- Financial data systems or index, benchmark, or asset management platform experience is preferred.
- Basic UI development skills with jQuery, HTML5, and CSS are a plus.
