Base Salary

$186k - $223k/yr

Responsibilities

Design and build APIs for mobile clients.
Design and build microservices running on Kubernetes.
Design and build distributed systems in Go using cloud infrastructure and platform services.
Participate in the backend on-call rotation for one week every 8–11 weeks.
Own the technical design, implementation, and success of projects.
Collaborate with Product, Data Science, ML, iOS, Android, and Data Engineering partners while contributing to technical strategy.

5+ years of industry experience as a backend or service engineer.
4+ years of experience working in a cloud environment such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
Strong programming skills, with proficiency in Go and Python noted as a bonus.
Deep understanding of distributed computing, event-based architecture, and cloud design patterns.
Proficiency with Kubernetes, OpenTelemetry, gRPC/Protobuf, Argo, and Kafka.
Strong writing, collaboration, and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
