Base Salary
$144k - $212k/yr
Responsibilities
- Gather data requirements from business partners and stakeholders.
- Collect required data in collaboration with engineering, product teams, and third parties.
- Design, develop, and implement large-scale, high-volume data models and pipelines for data lakes and data warehouses.
- Develop data quality checks, conduct QA, and implement monitoring routines.
- Improve the reliability and scalability of ETL processes.
- Manage data products that deliver high-quality, trustworthy data.
- Help onboard and support new engineers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in Python or Java.
- At least 3 years of experience with ETL orchestration and workflow management tools such as Airflow, Flink, Oozie, and Azkaban using AWS or GCP.
- Expertise in database fundamentals, SQL, and distributed computing.
- At least 3 years of experience with distributed data ecosystems such as Spark, Hive, Druid, and Presto, plus streaming technologies such as Kafka or Flink.
- Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, PostgreSQL, or other DBMS platforms.
- Knowledge of reporting tools such as Tableau, Superset, and Looker.
- Strong communication skills and experience working with technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to think strategically and analyze and interpret market and consumer information.
- Must be located near the Sunnyvale, San Francisco, or Seattle engineering hubs.
