Responsibilities
- Build and own AI infrastructure for reliable software on top of non-deterministic models, including agentic workflows, prompt iteration, tools, and evaluations.
- Develop flexible, deterministic, and auditable approval workflows configured through natural language.
- Build an intelligent collections agent that autonomously executes configurable payment-reminder and escalation workflows.
- Shape fundamental architecture and engineering practices as the team grows.
- Work directly with customers and cross-functional product and design teams.
- Take production responsibility for revenue-critical infrastructure, including on-call responsibilities.
Requirements
- Experience shipping LLM-based systems to real customers and understanding how they fail in production.
- Experience designing agentic systems, including embeddings, memory, tool use, long-running state, and recovery from partial failures.
- Experience building evaluation infrastructure involving datasets, LLM-as-judge systems, prompt regression tests, and monitoring.
- Experience writing resilient software for business-critical systems built on non-deterministic models.
- Informed opinions about tooling for building, evaluating, and securely operating multi-provider AI systems in production.
- Experience shipping production backend systems and understanding reliability requirements.
- Strong customer orientation, comfort with ambiguity, adaptability, and clear communication.
- Ability to take end-to-end ownership in a small, fast-moving engineering team.
