Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Write clean, efficient, well-tested backend code.
- Set up monitoring and dashboards to catch issues proactively.
- Collaborate across engineering to solve complex, multi-domain problems.
- Partner with Risk, Compliance, Data, Analytics, and Product teams to ship features.
- Balance independence with collaboration to deliver high-quality work.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building production software at scale.
- Located in the Chicago area or willing to relocate.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails or comparable frameworks.
- Familiarity with transactional databases and caching systems.
- Exposure to architectural patterns of large, high-scale web applications.
- Commitment to maintainable, well-tested code.
- Curiosity and a drive to understand complex systems.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Low ego, high empathy, and ability to build stakeholder partnerships.
