Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver foundational platform capabilities including MCP tool registries, AI orchestration layers, risk-based access automation, and contribution models for product teams.
- Evolve Control Center into a headless, AI-agent-ready operations platform with secure MCP procedures, agentic guardrails, HITL orchestration, and evaluation frameworks.
- Define architectural roadmaps, author technical design documents, lead design reviews, decompose initiatives into milestones, and mentor engineers.
- Build and maintain reliable, secure, distributed backend services while owning SLO definitions, observability, incident response, and operational readiness.
- Collaborate with EAA, Product Engineering, and Security Engineering teams to deliver shared platform primitives and eliminate duplicated infrastructure.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience architecting and delivering large-scale, high-traffic distributed systems in production.
- Deep proficiency in backend service design, API development using gRPC, MCP, and GraphQL, and scalable microservices architectures.
- Ability to independently lead ambiguous, high-impact technical initiatives from concept through production and set engineering standards across teams.
- Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, BuildKite or CircleCI, Kafka or MQ, Redis or Memcached, and SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Experience building secure, compliant internal tools or platforms with access management, audit logging, data governance, and security controls.
- Experience building or integrating agentic AI systems, including MCP servers, LLM orchestration layers, RAG pipelines, HITL workflows, or evaluation and guardrail frameworks.
- Proficiency in Go as a primary backend language and willingness to work with Python.
- Ability to use generative AI responsibly while maintaining human oversight and improving workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
