Responsibilities
- Build and evolve React Native mobile experiences across banking, invoicing, payments, notifications, tasks, and file management.
- Own complex mobile features end to end, including technical design, implementation, release, measurement, and ongoing operation.
- Contribute to a modern, scalable React Native architecture and establish effective development patterns.
- Ensure production availability, performance, accuracy, security, and scalability while participating in incident response and post-mortems.
- Shape APIs and data flows across the mobile/backend boundary, including collaboration on mobile backend systems and BFF patterns.
- Improve engineering efficiency through automation, AI-assisted development, and removal of technical friction.
- Mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, conduct thoughtful code reviews, and raise engineering standards.
Requirements
- Strong demonstrable experience building and shipping production mobile applications with React Native.
- Understanding of mobile software at scale, including performance, reliability, release management, observability, and production operations.
- Experience owning complex mobile features from technical design through release and ongoing operation.
- Experience working across mobile and backend systems, APIs, or Backend-for-Frontend patterns is highly valuable.
- Experience shipping software to large, active user bases and adapting technical decisions as systems scale.
- Pragmatic technical decision-making that balances delivery speed, customer impact, system health, and maintainability.
- Demonstrated mentoring and support of other engineers with tangible outcomes.
- Active use of AI-assisted development, automation, and modern engineering tooling.
