Responsibilities
- Build and evolve mobile features across banking, invoicing, payments, notifications, tasks, and file management.
- Own complex mobile features from technical design and implementation through release, measurement, and ongoing operation.
- Help shape the transition from native iOS and Android development toward React Native, including platform boundaries, native modules, performance, and architecture.
- Collaborate across mobile, backend, platform, web, Product, and Design teams to shape APIs, data flows, and customer experiences.
- Operate production software at scale by improving availability, performance, accuracy, security, and scalability and participating in incident response and post-mortems.
- Improve engineering efficiency through automation, AI-assisted development, simplified systems, and shorter feedback loops.
- Mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and raise engineering standards.
Requirements
- Strong demonstrable experience building and shipping production mobile applications using Swift and/or Kotlin.
- Deep knowledge of iOS or Android mobile engineering, including performance, lifecycle management, release processes, observability, reliability, and production operations.
- Willingness to develop React Native capability and help shape the mobile architecture transition.
- Experience with platform integration, performance debugging, native modules, and architectural decision-making.
- Experience owning complex mobile features end to end, from technical design through release and ongoing operation.
- Experience working across the mobile/backend boundary, including mobile backend systems, APIs, or Backend-for-Frontend patterns.
- Experience shipping software to large, active user bases and making technical decisions for scale.
- Pragmatic technical decision-making that balances delivery speed, customer impact, system health, and maintainability.
- Experience mentoring and supporting other engineers and raising engineering standards.
- Active use of AI-assisted development, automation, and modern engineering tooling.
