Base Salary
$154k - $217k/yr
Responsibilities
- Scale, harden, and evolve in-house BGP and Open/R routing protocol implementations and related services.
- Develop production software to solve routing problems for Meta’s network.
- Work hands-on with networking devices and protocols.
- Participate in the production operation of Tier-0 routing services.
- Integrate adjacent systems and evaluate third-party solutions.
- Automate network processes and build software infrastructure for network monitoring and analysis.
- Support capacity planning and architecture change analysis.
- Develop and automate test suites.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience in networking, distributed systems, or a related technical domain, or a PhD with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience with network devices and products and an understanding of industry routing protocols.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and at least one scripting language, such as Python or Shell Scripting.
- Experience developing and automating test suites.
- Preferred: experience designing, developing, and deploying networking software services for production networks.
- Preferred: experience implementing BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, or Open/R in production software stacks.
- Preferred: experience with debugging tools, large-scale network design or operations, Tier-0 services, and automated test suites for CI/CD frameworks.
Benefits
- Annual base salary of $154,003 to $217,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
