Responsibilities
- Create end-to-end test strategies and test plans for cloud-based networking applications and services.
- Plan, develop, execute, and automate functional, integration, performance, scale, and load test suites.
- Automate API and GUI features and perform functional, security, scale, and performance API testing.
- Test wired and wireless enterprise networks and protocols including VLAN, IP, STP, TCP, UDP, VRRP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, IS-IS, and SPBM.
- Review customer deployments and customer-found issues, identify test coverage gaps, and improve coverage.
- Review automation code written by team members and provide feedback.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Development, CloudOps, and other teams.
- Debug products built on microservices-oriented architectures and perform performance monitoring and validation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 3 to 12 years of experience in the network management or orchestration domain.
- Experience testing cloud-based applications and cloud environments such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, clustering solutions, virtualization, and hypervisors such as ESX or Hyper-V.
- Hands-on programming experience with Java, Python, Robot Framework, Perl, Go, or Tcl/Tk.
- Experience with API testing, API contract testing using mocks, API automation, and security testing.
- UI test automation experience using Selenium, Robot Framework, and Python or Playwright.
- Performance testing and monitoring experience using tools such as JMeter or Locust.
- Experience testing enterprise wired and wireless networks and security concepts including AAA, 802.1X, captive portals, VPNs, firewalls, and SSL.
- Proficiency with Linux/Unix operating systems and network testing tools such as Wireshark, Ethereal, or JMeter.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git and GitHub.
- Comfort with SQL, NoSQL, and in-memory databases such as PostgreSQL, Redis, or Ignite.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
- Experience or exposure to artificial intelligence, machine learning, and related tools.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and communication skills.
