Responsibilities
- Develop and improve software systems through analysis, coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and problem solving.
- Provide production support by troubleshooting issues, addressing performance bottlenecks, and identifying fixes.
- Guide, mentor, and coach team members on development and technical activities.
- Lead analysis, design, and realization initiatives involving development teams.
- Participate in all project phases, collaborate with users, and communicate project status.
- Support production deployments and ensure deployed systems remain functional.
- Assess system quality and performance, recommend improvements, and help maintain development standards and processes.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent education and experience.
- 8–10 years of software design and development experience.
- Knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture and Mesh App and Service Architecture.
- Strong Object-Oriented Analysis and Design experience and understanding of UX design principles.
- Preferred 2–3 years of experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular 2+, HTML, CSS, and AJAX.
- 3–5 years of experience building server-side applications with Java 8+, JDBC, and Hibernate, and creating web services or APIs.
- At least 2 years of experience with relational databases such as Oracle 12+ and PL/SQL, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Elasticsearch.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada; Canadian work experience is not required.
