Base Salary
$100k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test processes across the software life cycle.
- Create and maintain test environments and automated test capabilities, primarily using Python.
- Perform integration and testing, acceptance testing, performance/load/stress testing, user interface testing, data interface testing, security testing, and systems integration testing.
- Use code coverage tools, analyze test results, document results, and report and track software problems through resolution.
- Support installation, configuration, management, and enhancement of software applications, Linux systems, and connected network components.
- Analyze requirements, design and code new or modified software, implement algorithms and database interfaces, integrate software, and debug defects.
- Write and review software and system documentation, perform quality control, and improve development and documentation processes.
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, sprint planning, Agile ceremonies, and collaboration with software and infrastructure teams.
- Serve as a team lead and oversee software development teams as needed within the project’s development process.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, with four additional years of similar Software Engineer experience permitted as a substitution.
- Fourteen years of Software Engineer experience on programs or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity, including at least six years of software testing experience.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with an active Full Scope Polygraph before consideration and start; no exceptions.
- Experience with software development and full life-cycle testing of mission systems, test planning, test automation, test environments, I&T, acceptance testing, performance testing, interface testing, security testing, and systems integration testing.
- Test automation development experience using Python and experience with code coverage tools and software problem tracking.
- Experience installing, configuring, managing, and enhancing software applications, Linux/Unix systems, and connected network components.
- Software development experience in C, C++, or Java, plus scripting experience in Perl, Python, or Bash.
- Experience with Agile software development practices and issue tracking such as JIRA or Git.
