Responsibilities
- Develop migration strategies with assessment, planning, and execution phases in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Assess PCF applications for compatibility and readiness for migration to Azure AKS.
- Containerize applications and workloads for optimized Azure AKS deployment.
- Configure and deploy applications on Azure AKS using Kubernetes best practices.
- Develop deployment automation scripts and pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
- Implement security and compliance best practices for migrated applications and Azure AKS environments.
- Set up monitoring, logging, and scaling solutions to support application availability and performance.
- Create documentation covering migration processes, configurations, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cloud architects, developers, and operations teams to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth migrations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 8–10 years of overall experience, including hands-on experience within the last two years migrating at least one PCF application to Azure or AWS.
- Experience managing Azure subscriptions, resource groups, and security.
- Strong understanding of Azure networking, including virtual networks, load balancers, firewalls, routing, DNS, WAF, and NAT.
- Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes containerization technologies.
- Experience designing, creating, customizing, and maintaining Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments.
- Proficiency with Azure AKS, Azure Container Registry, and Azure DevOps.
- Scripting and automation experience using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes security, compliance, monitoring, and operational best practices.
- Familiarity with Terraform or ARM templates is preferred.
- Relevant Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate or Kubernetes certifications are preferred.
- Experience with AWS or Google Cloud and knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and practices are preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration abilities.
