Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance primarily legacy code while contributing to occasional greenfield development.
- Lead small software projects through completion.
- Gather business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical solutions.
- Work hands-on with business users to improve their software.
- Provide production support, including one weekend per month of on-call coverage.
- Develop tools such as Excel add-ins and Python packages, along with small- to medium-sized business applications.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Fluency in Python, C#, or both.
- Ability to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code.
- Strong interest in learning about proprietary trading.
