Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve web platform features across the frontend and CMS backend.
- Solve complex technical problems and make pragmatic architectural trade-offs focused on maintainability and scalability.
- Build backend functionality in PHP and Laravel for integrations, dynamic features, and internal tooling.
- Extend and optimize CMS and publishing workflows for efficient content operations.
- Improve performance, Core Web Vitals, accessibility, and technical SEO foundations.
- Interface with C++ backend systems to support reliable and efficient data exchange.
- Improve developer experience, reduce complexity, and define modern web development best practices.
- Collaborate with design, marketing, product, and engineering stakeholders to deliver structured technical solutions.
Requirements
- Strong experience building and shipping production-grade web platforms, applications, or systems.
- Proven ability to solve non-trivial technical problems in complex web-related codebases.
- Strong full stack engineering skills with backend experience in PHP, Laravel, or similar technologies and frameworks.
- Strong frontend fundamentals including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and maintainable user-interface development approaches.
- Sound judgment when making architectural and technical trade-offs.
- Pragmatic approach to balancing flexibility, simplicity, delivery speed, and long-term maintainability.
- Curiosity and confidence working with unfamiliar technologies or domains.
- Strong ownership of code quality, maintainability, and technical outcomes.
- Experience collaborating across disciplines and communicating clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders in English.
- Experience with Statamic CMS, static site generation, Jenkins or similar deployment tools, Tailwind, Alpine.js, performance-critical or SEO-relevant platforms, Python automation, or integrations with non-web backend systems is preferred.
