
Co-op Winter 2027 - Software Engineering Developer - 16-Months
General Dynamics Mission SystemsResponsibilities
- Perform software design, analysis, implementation, integration testing, verification testing, debugging, and performance activities under senior-engineer mentorship.
- Document requirements analyses, designs, tests, test plans, and test reports using prescribed templates.
- Maintain the codebase according to coding standards and perform developmental configuration management.
- Investigate system problem reports and field incident reports, including root-cause and trend analyses.
- Provide technical support during high-level integration and qualification testing and to internal customers.
- Present work at design reviews and peer reviews.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a university degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, computer science, or an equivalent technical discipline.
- Familiarity or experience working with AI/ML models is preferred.
- Strong collaboration, communication, presentation, problem-solving, ownership, and willingness-to-learn skills are valued.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada and able to obtain and maintain applicable Canadian government security clearances and other required security assessments.
