Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, code, test, maintain, and troubleshoot secure software components and applications.
  • Write high-quality code using at least one modern programming language with limited guidance.
  • Develop and deploy enterprise Java microservices using AWS services, containers, and Terraform.
  • Analyze large and diverse data sets to identify problems and support secure, stable application development.
  • Apply software development lifecycle tools, automation, testing, and AI-assisted development capabilities while validating generated outputs.
  • Consider upstream and downstream system dependencies and technical implications during solution design.
  • Support application resiliency, security, operational stability, and technical problem solving.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database query languages.
  • Experience using authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating and validating their outputs.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
  • Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Preferred qualifications include full-stack Java enterprise development, microservices, AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service, AWS Elastic Container Service, Amazon EC2, Terraform, and relational database experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with observability technologies and strong SDLC delivery in Agile environments is preferred.
