Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement resilient, scalable, fault-tolerant, low-latency services and drive target-state architecture.
  • Design and deploy enterprise-integrated services meeting functional, performance, scalability, security, governance, and auditability requirements.
  • Lead and mentor the development team, manage multiple deliverables, and strengthen stakeholder relationships.
  • Collaborate with LOB users, subject-matter experts, architects, DBAs, and system administrators on solution design, enhancements, and issue resolution.
  • Build ML pipelines and platform capabilities for fraud detection and risk assessment, including feature-store patterns and delivery pipelines.
  • Productionalize data-science models with validation readiness and quality controls.
  • Drive team adoption of authorized AI-assisted engineering practices and establish standards for validating AI-generated outputs.
  • Build agentic AI services with tool integration, orchestration, state management, monitoring, and audit-ready traceability.
  • Define production guardrails and evaluation approaches for agentic AI quality, safety, latency, and cost.
  • Establish monitoring and alerting for performance, scalability, availability, and reliability.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Deep distributed-systems engineering expertise with primarily Python and modern microservices, plus Java experience.
  • Strong Python experience in AI/ML engineering, automation, model operationalization, and agentic AI services.
  • Experience with tool integration, monitoring, telemetry, governance, service-oriented or microservices architecture, and messaging platforms such as Kafka or MQ.
  • Experience developing in Linux environments and building, deploying, and operating production services on Kubernetes.
  • Experience with backend infrastructure patterns such as load balancing and autoscaling, NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, and observability tools such as ELK or Splunk.
  • Strong SDLC knowledge covering application resiliency, security, testing, operational stability, and delivery automation.
  • Experience with MLOps, feature engineering, model hosting or operationalization, AWS or hybrid on-premises and cloud environments, and LLM-driven agents.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead responsible adoption of AI-assisted software development tools and coach engineers on secure, compliant use.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence senior technology and business stakeholders.
  • AWS and AI certifications or working knowledge are preferred.
