Base Salary
$195k - $242k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain the embedded Linux operating system platform for on-vehicle devices and applications.
- Configure and manage Yocto build systems and U-Boot bootloader processes.
- Develop and optimize device drivers and kernel-space components in C, C++, or Rust.
- Collaborate on OS integration and delivery, issue triage, hardware bring-up, and manufacturing support.
Requirements
- Have 4+ years of experience delivering embedded software for production systems.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of Linux, Yocto, and U-Boot.
- Be familiar with systemd, chroot, cgroups, Linux namespaces, filesystems, and containerization concepts.
- Have proficiency in a language without automatic memory management, such as C or C++, and in scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Embedded Linux robotics experience, familiarity with PKI, secure boot, OTA software updates, hardware key storage, and Nvidia GPUs, Thor/Orin, CUDA, or TRT are bonus qualifications.
