Base Salary
$157k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate identity platform services and APIs from architecture through production.
- Improve application and platform reliability, stability, scalability, performance, and service levels using data-driven analysis.
- Define service level indicators, service level objectives, and error budgets with stakeholders.
- Build and maintain CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, deployment, and automation tooling, including capacity, failover, and disaster recovery planning.
- Lead major-incident response, troubleshooting, post-incident analysis, and operational readiness for the application.
- Lead resiliency design reviews and technical initiatives across medium- to large-sized products.
- Apply approved AI capabilities to incident triage, code review, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis while validating outputs and protecting sensitive data.
- Partner with security and platform teams to keep identity services secure, compliant, and well governed.
- Mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, and promote reuse of effective engineering and AI-assisted reliability practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Strong knowledge of reliability, scalability, performance, security, enterprise architecture, toil reduction, and site reliability practices.
- Production experience designing and building services and APIs with clean, maintainable code in at least one programming language such as Python, Java/Spring Boot, or Go.
- Proficiency with automation and infrastructure-as-code, including Terraform or a similar templating language.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to improve SRE workflows and software development practices.
- Experience with observability, service-level-objective alerting, and telemetry collection such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or Tempo.
- Proficiency with continuous integration and continuous delivery practices and tooling.
- Experience troubleshooting common networking technologies and issues.
- Ability to establish team standards for validating AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, security, and compliance.
- Preferred experience with authentication and federation protocols, IAM models, certificates and key rotation, directory services, federated cloud identity, PKI, x509, mTLS, regulated or highly available systems, disaster recovery, and multi-region resilience.
- Preferred proficiency with containers and Kubernetes.
