Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and implement distributed storage solutions for data-intensive AI workloads.
- Develop exabyte-scale S3-compatible object storage and integrate dedicated storage clusters into customer environments.
- Optimize storage performance and efficiency using RDMA, GPU Direct Storage, and distributed filesystem protocols such as NFS and FUSE.
- Improve the reliability, durability, security, and observability of the storage stack.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve storage systems in production with operations teams.
- Develop metrics and dashboards and analyze telemetry to improve throughput, latency, and resilience.
- Collaborate with platform, product, infrastructure, and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Share expertise and mentor engineers on distributed, high-performance systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in storage systems engineering or infrastructure.
- Strong hands-on production experience with object storage or distributed filesystems.
- Experience with storage protocols such as S3 or NFS and filesystems such as Ceph, DAOS, or similar.
- Proficiency in a systems programming language such as Go, C, or Rust.
- Proficiency using AI tools to augment software development.
- Familiarity with storage observability tools and telemetry pipelines such as ClickHouse, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Experience with cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, and scalable system architectures.
- Expertise in data persistence on physical media, high-performance RDMA data transfer, or resilient distributed systems is valued.

- Base salary range is $153,000-$204,000 per year, excluding bonus and equity.
