Base Salary
$205k - $238k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve Front’s design system across Figma, Storybook, and production code.
- Build, refactor, maintain, and document reusable accessible UI components for Front’s product surfaces.
- Identify and reduce design/code drift across component libraries, legacy UI patterns, and Figma systems.
- Establish patterns, conventions, and guardrails for consistency, accessibility, maintainability, and developer experience.
- Prototype interaction patterns and reference implementations in code to support product decisions.
- Partner with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers on complex workflows, edge cases, and enterprise product experiences.
- Use AI tools thoughtfully to accelerate prototyping, iteration, production changes, and system maintenance.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience designing and building production frontend experiences.
- Strong frontend engineering skills with modern web technologies and component-based architecture.
- Strong UI/UX craft and product judgment, including usability, accessibility, flexibility, and maintainability.
- Experience with component libraries, Storybook documentation, visual regression workflows, design-token pipelines, Figma workflows or plugins, or similar design-engineering infrastructure.
- Strong accessibility fundamentals, including semantic HTML, ARIA patterns, keyboard interaction models, focus management, and inclusive component states.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical and design-system decisions to specialists and non-specialists.
- A portfolio or body of work demonstrating shipped design-engineering impact.
- Experience with large frontend surfaces, multiple product teams, mature or evolving design systems, fragmented component-library consolidation, or aligning Figma libraries with production code is preferred.
- Experience using AI-assisted coding or design tools is preferred.
