Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver architectures for initiatives spanning multiple platform systems.
- Design concepts and architectures for new solutions and changes to existing systems.
- Support development and project teams throughout delivery and collaborate closely with product and delivery teams.
- Challenge existing architecture and drive necessary changes to established views and ways of working.
- Work independently to drive delivery of designs and architecture.
- Create solution documentation and present architectures to stakeholders.
- Establish functional and non-functional stakeholder requirements.
- Investigate issues and initiate quality improvement measures.
- Ensure delivered systems conform to architecture principles and standards.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience documenting solutions using industry-standard methodologies.
- Proficiency with the development lifecycle of services in one or more programming languages, such as Node.js, Java, Python, or Go, plus core database knowledge.
- Ability to identify and prioritize key technical problems in ambiguous situations.
- Strong solution-oriented technical skills and experience working with third-party suppliers and in-house solutions.
- Proven ability to solve complex technology and business problems.
- Understanding of complex business processes, practices, and approaches.
- Deep understanding of technology applications and architecture stacks for monetisation, content management, metadata, and broadcast systems.
- Experience designing and developing large-scale, complex, loosely coupled, high-performance architectures involving microservices and event-driven architecture.
- Knowledge of cloud-based systems, preferably AWS.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with customer identity and access management is preferred.
- Experience with direct and third-party payment providers is preferred.
- Experience with external vendors and content security is preferred.
- Experience with Scrum or similar methodologies and user stories and epics is preferred.
