Base Salary
$180k - $320k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead work on high-throughput systems that collect, forward, and perform real-time computation on customer behavioral events.
- Preserve less-than-one-second end-to-end latency at throughput exceeding 1,000,000 messages per second.
- Improve caching strategies for the online computation service.
- Architect message-delivery deduplication handling 1,000,000 messages per second.
- Develop elegant zero-downtime deployment patterns for the online computation service.
- Own and deliver projects from start to finish, work directly with customers on scaling problems, influence the technical roadmap, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- Experience architecting, building, deploying, and maintaining distributed systems at scale.
- Experience leading highly complex and ambitious engineering projects.
- Ability to mentor and up-level engineers and promote technical excellence.
- Passion for solving difficult technical problems that create customer value.
- Comfort working with high ownership in a fast-paced startup environment.
