Responsibilities
- Code, test, debug, and develop software applications and small technical modules.
- Implement solutions based on process requirements and system specifications in collaboration with business analysts and vendors.
- Repair coding problems and provide technical support for existing and escalated issues.
- Support help-desk operations, monitor technical-support trends, and advise senior team members on system performance.
- Support testing and validation of product features against business needs.
- Develop technical documentation and help create project plans and software development plans.
- Partner with Business/IT to define and manage scope for each release.
- Act as a technical resource for other analysts on the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as an Application Developer in the insurance industry.
- More than three years of application development experience.
- Experience across a range of technology and non-technology projects.
- Strong technical skills in Express.js, Angular, Node.js, and React.
- Ability to interpret process models, requirements, and business scenarios and develop solutions from them.
- Good understanding of agentic development concepts, including designing or using autonomous AI agents to automate business workflows and data analysis.
- Japanese language proficiency is required.
- Strong relationship-building, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience in fast-paced environments, international projects involving Japan, and cross-cultural or cross-functional teams is preferred.
