Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture and technical decisions for the global OpenLink Endur ETRM implementation.
  • Serve as the primary architectural contact for IT projects and integrate business, data, application, technical, and information-security requirements.
  • Document, review, and formally approve solution architectures and detailed designs using Shell standards, templates, and tooling.
  • Guide detailed designers and business analysts and participate in Architecture Review Board sessions.
  • Maintain and enhance reference models in BizzDesign or other standard architecture tooling.
  • Shape cloud-native Azure architecture, including application modernization, data platforms, integration, and federated data solutions.
  • Provide technology foresight, align solutions with Shell standards, and champion architectural excellence across technical communities.
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders, manage dependencies and trade-offs, and resolve architectural and technical problems.
  • Coordinate information and designs with Data Architects, IRM, Support Operations, business stakeholders, and third parties.

Requirements

  • Extensive hands-on experience with OpenLink Endur and a long-established background in Trading IT.
  • Knowledge of the end-to-end trading business from deal inception through settlement.
  • Extensive experience delivering software and architecture for commodities-trading products.
  • Experience owning technical architecture, design, and standards and leading architectural decisions across portfolios.
  • Experience with TOGAF or a similar framework and enterprise-architecture tooling.
  • Expertise in one or more of Node.js, .NET, .NET Core, or Python; front-end technologies such as React; and SQL, NoSQL, or cloud datastores.
  • Hands-on experience implementing OpenLink Endur components including Managers, Domain Services, Operation Services, TPM, APM, Grid Setup, and Deal Modelling.
  • Experience architecting applications on Azure, including migration or re-platforming of legacy on-premises systems.
  • Experience designing containers, microservices, cloud-native applications, federated data platforms, logical data models, and medallion-style data architectures.
  • Knowledge of data engineering, pipelines, warehousing, storage, lifecycle management, privacy, security, big data, streaming, IoT, event triggers, and time-series data.
  • Experience with Azure Functions, Web Apps, Event Hubs, Event Bus, Kafka, ELK, Azure Active Directory, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Storage, Azure Kubernetes Service, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, Confluent, API Management, and Logic Apps.
  • Substantial CI/CD and DevOps experience with Git, GitHub, VSTS/Azure DevOps, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Practical Agile experience in startup and enterprise environments, plus strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
