Base Salary
$124k - $186k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement responsive, accessible UI components using React, Vue, or similar frontend frameworks.
- Translate network security concepts such as topology maps, risk scores, policy rules, alerts, and remediation steps into usable interfaces.
- Own UX for onboarding, network and device discovery, dashboards, investigations, and reporting workflows.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups and iterate based on user feedback and usability testing.
- Collaborate with backend engineers on APIs and data contracts while optimizing topology graphs, tables, and charts for scale.
- Partner with QA and Solutions Testing teams to validate workflows across customer network scenarios.
- Gather feedback from customers, sales engineers, and support teams to improve the product experience.
- Maintain and evolve the platform component and design system.
- Ensure accessibility and cross-browser compatibility and optimize frontend performance.
- Define frontend architecture, tooling, coding standards, state management, and component architecture.
- Mentor junior and mid-level frontend/UI engineers through reviews, pairing, and design critiques.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a frontend engineer, UI/UX engineer, or product designer with strong coding ability.
- Experience owning frontend architecture decisions and mentoring engineers.
- Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and a component-based framework such as React, Vue, or Angular.
- Strong UX skills in information architecture, interaction design, and visual hierarchy, with a portfolio showing design-to-code work.
- Experience designing data-heavy interfaces such as dashboards, network or graph visualizations, security tools, or DevOps tools.
- Proficiency with Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar design tools.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and collaboration with backend teams on UI data contracts.
- Understanding of responsive design, WCAG accessibility standards, and cross-browser and device compatibility.
- Ability to conduct or support usability testing and apply findings to design and engineering improvements.
- Preferred: experience with network security, cybersecurity, or IT infrastructure SaaS products.
- Preferred: familiarity with D3.js, Recharts, Cytoscape.js, or similar data visualization libraries.
- Preferred: basic understanding of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking concepts including VLANs, routing, and ACLs.
- Preferred: experience with design systems and component libraries at scale.
- Preferred: exposure to CI/CD pipelines and frontend testing frameworks such as Jest, Playwright, or Cypress.
