Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize SRE practices for AI/ML infrastructure with emphasis on reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain automated monitoring, alerting, incident response, and telemetry systems.
- Provide major-incident leadership, troubleshoot operational issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and reduce recurring errors.
- Lead resiliency design reviews, define non-functional requirements, and establish service-level indicators, objectives, availability targets, and error budgets.
- Drive reliability and stability improvements using data-driven analysis and site reliability best practices.
- Lead and mentor engineers, break complex work into deliverable components, and provide technical guidance across products and platforms.
- Guide the safe, validated, traceable, and auditable use of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities in reliability workflows.
- Document and share reliability knowledge through internal forums and communities of practice.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in site reliability or infrastructure engineering roles.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Deep expertise with AWS, Terraform, CloudFormation, Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch.
- Fluency in at least Python and strong knowledge of software applications, technical processes, enterprise architecture, reliability, scalability, performance, security, and toil reduction.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, and Terraform.
- Experience with observability practices including white-box and black-box monitoring, SLO alerting, and telemetry collection using Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, or Splunk.
- Experience with containers and orchestration platforms such as ECS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Experience leading teams in the safe use of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities, including validation, data-sensitivity awareness, escalation, resiliency, security, and auditability practices.
- Experience troubleshooting networking technologies and issues.
- Strong communication, collaboration, mentoring, and technical leadership skills.
- Preferred: Certified in SRE.
