Responsibilities
- Own OTA quality, performance, triage, and programming activities across vehicle programs from early development through launch.
- Troubleshoot OTA issues from CTFs, fleets, development vehicles, plants, and customer vehicles using vehicle data acquisition and CGM/CAN log analysis.
- Lead or coordinate root-cause analysis and resolution across vehicle software, OTA engines, back-office services, connectivity, parts authoring, and 12V concerns.
- Partner with ECU, software integration, OTA deployment, Vehicle Update Services, quality, field service, and customer service teams to define requirements, test cases, verification plans, and issue resolution.
- Support OTA component testers, system and CVF benches, CTF fleets, development vehicles, vehicle automation, stress testing, and edge-case coverage.
- Execute OTA readiness plans, monitor VeSCoM campaign performance, prioritize strategic initiatives, and support cross-functional resolution of campaign issues.
- Improve OTA standard work, triage methods, dashboards, metrics, test methodologies, and closed-loop learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in software development, validation, quality, integration, triage, or software program management.
- Preferred: at least 2 years of automotive software development, validation, or software program management experience with direct OTA or vehicle-programming exposure.
- Experience or knowledge with embedded systems or vehicle architectures, technical logs, vehicle networking, and reflash concepts such as CAN, UDS, or DoIP.
- Preferred: hands-on understanding of end-to-end OTA update flows, vehicle controllers, cloud services, CGM, TCP, VCU, and back-office interactions.
- Preferred: experience with automation frameworks, stress testing, robustness verification, data and logging tools, dashboards, GSPAS, and VSMS-based dashboards.
- Preferred: experience with PRC/PRTS ownership, cross-functional OTA or ECU software triage, and teams such as OTA VSE, Vehicle Update Services, VESCOM Verification, or software integration.
- Strong troubleshooting, project management, organization, communication, mentoring, collaboration, judgment, and influence skills.
- Ability to travel 10–20% between Milford, Warren, and vehicle plants.
