Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement enhancements across Oracle database platforms, including new features, performance tuning, and Oracle cluster management.
- Support business and technology program delivery while ensuring database platforms meet product service-level objectives.
- Represent the Back-End Engineering team in technical discussions with Architecture, DevOps, Product, and other stakeholders.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and lead initiatives that deliver measurable value.
- Design and implement modern ETL and data integration solutions for data platform transformation initiatives.
- Use AI and automation technologies across the software development lifecycle to improve productivity, quality, testing, operations, and data-driven decision-making.
- Build and deploy solutions meeting agreed availability, scalability, resilience, performance, and service-level requirements.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of hands-on experience working with Oracle databases in low-latency, high-data-volume environments across the full software development lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience designing data architecture and ETL dataflows for enterprise risk management, analytics, and reporting.
- Experience tuning Oracle database performance and managing Oracle clusters.
- Extensive Oracle architecture and PL/SQL experience, including packages, functions, and ref cursors.
- Experience designing, developing, and implementing Oracle database systems to meet customer and business requirements.
- Ability to create complex packages, functions, scripts, stored procedures, and triggers.
- Experience implementing Liquibase or a similar version-control solution.
- Ability to identify and correct database performance, data integrity, and data synchronization issues.
- Ability to work with a team in an Agile environment and demonstrate strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Experience with financial market data or financial products is highly desired.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Oracle certification, such as Oracle Certified Professional, is preferred.
- Experience with Oracle Exadata, Oracle RAC, or other Oracle high-availability solutions is preferred.
