Lead Software Engineer – AI-Native Component Engineering

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, and deliver secure, high-quality production software solutions.
- Build drop-in AI-native components with automated upgrades for enterprise adopters.
- Develop or contribute to SDKs, frameworks, and developer platforms consumed by other engineering teams.
- Drive responsible adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and automation tools.
- Establish validation standards for AI-generated outputs, including correctness, performance, security, and secure handling of sensitive data.
- Automate recurring issue remediation and improve application and system operational stability.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools and cloud-native practices to improve delivery and automation outcomes.
- Lead software engineering communities of practice focused on emerging technologies and shared frameworks.
- Review and debug code written by other engineers and promote secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and reuse of effective patterns.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption.
- Strong understanding of responsible AI practices, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced skills in Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Advanced understanding of application resiliency and security practices.
- Demonstrated proficiency in a technical discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, or machine learning.
- Practical cloud-native experience.
- Preferred experience building SDKs, frameworks, or developer platforms; using AI-native tooling; and shipping production code that leverages AI or builds AI capabilities.
