Responsibilities
- Design and build secure, well-tested secrets management features and contribute to architecture for multi-cloud Infrastructure as Code deployments.
- Build and operate highly available Tier 0 services, including scalable code, on-call participation, and debugging of distributed-systems issues.
- Implement cryptographic and zero-trust identity capabilities using PKI, X.509, dynamic secret generation, key rotation, device identity, and zero-trust authentication.
- Develop secure secret distribution and credential-delivery features across heterogeneous networks with strict access controls.
- Build production-grade software, orchestrate systems integrating AI agents into human workflows, and maintain shared system context for reliable AI-assisted development.
- Review human- and AI-generated code for correctness, quality, security, and performance; improve testing and tooling; and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on software development experience at a product-based software technology company.
- 3+ years of development experience in public cloud environments; AWS is preferred and GCP is a plus.
- Strong hands-on programming expertise in Golang, Java, C#, Python, Rust, or C/C++.
- Experience building highly available, scalable services backed by relational and NoSQL databases such as Postgres, DynamoDB, or Cassandra.
- Knowledge of cloud computing, Infrastructure as Code, Docker, Kubernetes, TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and distributed networking.
- Applied knowledge of cloud security design, secrets management, PKI/X.509, and OWASP principles; HashiCorp Vault experience is a plus.
- Proven ability to design and deliver well-architected components, collaborate across teams, and solve complex problems.
- Experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Cursor, plus advanced prompt-engineering and system-context skills.
