Responsibilities
- Design and build foundational platform capabilities for orchestration, lifecycle management, memory patterns, runtime policy, and human-in-the-loop controls.
- Create agent discovery, registration, reuse, registry, marketplace, and protocol-integration capabilities.
- Define architectural patterns, reference architectures, and golden paths for multi-agent coordination, bounded autonomy, failure handling, and system evolution.
- Build secure-by-default architectures with governance, policy enforcement, auditability, authentication, authorization, and access control.
- Develop reusable AI workflow primitives and shared runtime frameworks for enterprise teams.
- Integrate AI workflows with Cloud, Security, ITSM, and other enterprise systems and platforms.
- Identify fragmentation across enterprise Agentic AI initiatives and promote architectural convergence and reuse.
- Mentor engineers and influence technical direction through hands-on engineering, design reviews, and architectural leadership.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience designing, building, and operating cloud-native software systems in production, with depth in platform, infrastructure, or distributed systems.
- Expertise balancing scalability, reliability, security, cost, and developer experience tradeoffs.
- Experience designing or operating systems that use LLMs or AI models as core components, including model interaction, control flow, and failure modes.
- Proficiency in Python and/or Java or Scala for backend services, frameworks, SDKs, or shared runtime systems.
- Experience with public cloud platforms, preferably AWS, including compute, networking, storage, and security primitives.
- Experience owning and evolving shared platform architectures as scale and requirements change.
- Ability to drive architectural alignment across teams through technical influence, design reviews, reference architectures, and hands-on collaboration.
- Exposure to agent frameworks, multi-agent systems, or AI orchestration tools.
- Experience with explicit state management, lifecycle control, and correctness guarantees across asynchronous and long-running workflows.
- Experience with orchestration systems, workflow engines, or event-driven architectures.
- Experience with authentication, authorization, delegated access patterns, OAuth 2.0, and related standards.
- Experience building internal developer platforms, shared services, or reusable runtime frameworks.
- Interest in emerging AI capabilities and tools that inform platform and system design decisions.
