Software Engineering LMTS - Backend Distributed Systems
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Design and build distributed systems, distributed file systems, and scalable multi-tenant SaaS components in on-premises and public cloud environments.
- Develop production-grade software using Java, Python, and other supported programming languages.
- Make architectural and design decisions focused on performance, scalability, and future extensibility.
- Contribute across the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, code reviews, automation, and testing.
- Work with queues, locks, scheduling, event-driven architecture, workload distribution, and relational and non-relational databases.
- Evaluate human- and AI-generated code for correctness, quality, security, and performance.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance to uphold high engineering standards.
- Help maintain a shared system context containing system designs, constraints, and standards for reliable AI-assisted development.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software development and large-scale system design.
- Strong fundamentals in object-oriented design, distributed systems, scalable architecture, and software development best practices.
- Proficiency in one or more of Java, Python, Scala, C#, Go, Node.js, or C++.
- Experience developing SaaS applications on public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL, Trino, Redshift, and MongoDB, plus solid SQL skills.
- Experience with queues, locking, scheduling, event-driven architecture, and workload distribution.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, system design expertise, and mentoring ability.
