Responsibilities
- Write production-quality code across core services, platforms, and AI workflows.
- Own high-impact features and system improvements from concept through post-launch follow-through.
- Modernize legacy systems and migrate them incrementally to cloud-native architectures.
- Design, build, and evolve scalable microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven integrations.
- Build and orchestrate production-grade agentic AI systems with tool use, multi-step reasoning, workflow automation, task planning, human oversight, context, memory, guardrails, and policy enforcement.
- Integrate AI systems with business workflows, APIs, data sources, relational and NoSQL datastores, and event-driven workflows.
- Implement hallucination mitigation, evaluation, monitoring, and feedback loops for AI systems in production.
- Define architectural standards, service boundaries, data ownership, integration patterns, and AI-assisted development practices.
- Lead project architecture, execution, dependency management, risk mitigation, launch readiness, and cross-team alignment.
- Use AI-powered development tools for design, coding, refactoring, testing, debugging, documentation, and system comprehension.
- Mentor engineers through pairing, code reviews, design discussions, and technical leadership coaching.
- Build containerized applications with Docker, deploy through Kubernetes, and partner with DevOps/SRE on CI/CD, observability, and safe deployments.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and production support.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proven ownership and delivery of large, complex systems, including legacy modernization and technology-stack migration.
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and shipping AI-driven and agentic AI systems in production or production-like environments.
- History of hands-on technical leadership across teams or domains, mentoring engineers, coordinating stakeholders, managing technical risks, and driving delivery independently.
- Expert-level proficiency in C# and .NET, including ASP.NET Core and modern .NET.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design, distributed systems, microservices architectures, testing strategies, and production-quality code.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, agentic AI architectures, autonomous workflow execution, tool or function calling, context and memory management, structured outputs, and AI workflow orchestration.
- Experience integrating AI systems with datastores, APIs, and event-driven workflows.
- Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server and PostgreSQL, plus working knowledge of NoSQL data stores and caching strategies such as Redis.
- Strong experience with Docker and production containerization, plus practical Kubernetes and container-orchestration experience.
- Comfort working in AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.
- Proficiency with Git and modern development workflows.
- Frontend framework experience such as React or Angular is preferred.
- Nice-to-have experience includes Python, Java, TypeScript, message queues, event streaming, workflow orchestration platforms, vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation, knowledge graphs, semantic search, AI evaluation harnesses, prompt/version management, safety checks, governance workflows, and high-throughput or operationally critical SaaS systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
