Base Salary

$87k - $157k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Integrate security practices into DevOps pipelines for DoD applications and support compliance with relevant standards.
  • Automate security tools and processes within CI/CD workflows.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and threat modeling, and remediate identified security issues.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams on secure coding practices and security controls.
  • Configure and manage static code analysis, dynamic application security testing, and infrastructure-as-code security tools.
  • Participate in incident response, monitor security alerts and incidents, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on DevSecOps practices and tools.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret clearance, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain and maintain SCI clearance before starting.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience or master’s degree with 2+ years of experience; additional experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Three to five years of professional software development experience.
  • Experience with software development paradigms, version control, CI/CD, and tools such as Jira or GitLab.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows, network administration, and HTTP, HTTPS, SSL/TLS, SMTP, and DNS.
  • Experience provisioning and managing IaaS or cloud resources using Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or similar provisioning and configuration tools.
  • Preferred experience includes Air Force Life Cycle Management Center programs and 1–2 years of configuration management experience.
  • Preferred qualifications include DoD 8570 IAM Level II or DoD 8140 Advanced certifications, intermediate or higher cloud certifications, DevSecOps security-tool experience, compliance knowledge, Keycloak administration, Helm, and 3–5 years of DevSecOps experience.
