Base Salary
$200k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and ship product security improvements covering authentication, authorization, session and token handling, secrets management, and third-party access.
- Build detection and response capabilities for abuse, account takeover, scraping, and fraud.
- Threat model new and existing systems and turn findings into prioritized shipped work.
- Own internal tooling and paved paths that enable secure-by-default development.
- Triage and remediate vulnerabilities from internal findings, bug bounty reports, and penetration tests.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, and Trust & Safety to balance security controls with creator experience.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for reviews, migrations, and investigations while validating their output and risks.
- Raise the security bar through code review, pairing, documentation, and mentoring.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with meaningful experience in security, infrastructure, identity, or another high-consequence domain.
- Strong full-stack skills with TypeScript, Node.js, React, GraphQL, PostgreSQL or MySQL, and AWS.
- Working knowledge of OWASP Top 10, authentication and authorization, secrets management, practical cryptography, and common consumer-platform attack classes.
- Experience threat modeling real systems and converting the results into shipped work.
- Experience safely shipping changes to high-traffic critical paths using feature flags, staged rollouts, migrations, and backward compatibility.
- Fluency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, and Codex, including prompting, validation, refinement, and risk assessment.
- Ability to balance security and user experience and influence engineers outside the immediate team.
- Based in Los Angeles or San Francisco and able to work hybrid from one of the company’s offices.
