Base Salary
$140k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Linux-based security for embedded systems, with emphasis on secure boot and kernel hardening.
- Conduct security assessments and audits of Linux-based embedded systems to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Manage vulnerabilities, security patches, and kernel updates for Linux-based embedded systems.
- Design secure Linux communication systems using encryption, authentication, and key management.
- Perform related duties and support security work for resource-constrained and real-time embedded systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant field plus five years of networking-products embedded software development experience, or a high school diploma/GED plus ten years of Linux network security, secure coding, or embedded systems security experience.
- Coding and scripting experience with embedded C/C++ in Linux environments.
- Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
- U.S. citizenship is required because of clients under U.S. government contracts.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, experience using AI in penetration testing and code reviews, secure boot experience with Xilinx or Microchip SoCs, Linux security tools, security certifications, Linux security controls and frameworks, threat intelligence and modeling, container security, cloud environments, secure development lifecycle practices, and mobile ad-hoc networking security.
- Preferred experience includes securing resource-constrained or real-time Linux systems and integrating hardware security technologies such as TPM or Secure Enclave.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug test.
